The documentary is focusing on 2 stories, an old lady who’s father has been killed by Nazi,
German during WWII, and a young man 25 years old who has lost his father during the Syrian
revolution, both are talking about the meaning of freedom and what is the price that you have to
pay to get your freedom as a person, country and a nation.
Menis Kana’an lives in exile with the burden of the survivor’s guilt after being jailed for his political activism in Syria. He struggles to overcome the past and builds a shield from the outside world, until inquisitive Rita, claiming to be his daughter, knocks on his door.
